Resignation
I have come to accept that there are some things that I will never have, no matter how much I want them. Like freckles.

But of course there are those things that are yours which freckled annes everywhere wished to call their own.
We Dianas do glory in our dimpled elbows (and raven hair).
You may have some when you get pregnant. They show up more often during that time for some reason.
(Not that this is a reason to hurry that up...) I suddenly have a very small spattering across my cheek. (Just one.)
I guess deciding to have a baby just so I can get some freckles is one of those situations where I'd be doing it "for the wrong reason."
For many people, this reason would be as good as their other reasons.
Sad.
